Pet of the Year Nominations

The ND Veterinary Medical Association’s Animal Hall of Fame is an annual program that honors animals and their caregivers who exemplify the strength and value of the human-animal connection. The goals of the North Dakota Veterinary Medical Association (NDVMA) in holding the Animal Hall of Fame Awards are:

  • To honor the outstanding contributions our animal companions make to human lives.
  • To heighten public awareness of the human-animal connection.
  • To allow NDVMA members to share in the celebration of their patients’ accomplishments.

Award Categories

Hero Award

Animals who have saved or preserved human life. 

Companion Award

Animals who have provided a benefit to their human companions or their communities.

Professional Award

Animals specially trained to assist humans (seeing eye dog, therapy, etc.).

Working Award

Animals specially trained to assist police, medical units, military, etc.

Survivor of the Year Award

Animals that beat the odds of living.

Nominations are due June 20, 2024
