The CATalyst Council is seeking grant applicants for innovations that will accelerate the quality of life for cats across North America. Grants of up to $20,000 will be awarded. Grant funds can be applied across a broad array of topics that fit within the umbrella of healthcare for companion cats. Anticipated focus areas include telemedicine, animal welfare, sheltering, access to care for wellness of companion cats, data collection and preventive care that can be replicated nationally.
“Millions of cats do not receive the healthcare they deserve. We hope the CATalyst grant program will fund projects that will impact the lifelong health of companion cats,” explained Dr. Jane Brunt, Executive Director of the CATalyst Council, a feline-focused veterinarian, and VMAE member. “Throughout the animal health and animal welfare professions, individuals and organizations are working on products, services, technology-solutions, community partnerships and in other ways that will help companion cats receive desperately needed care. The CATalyst Council grant program can help these innovators accelerate their initiatives.”
The deadline for applications is August 31, 2023. The CATalyst Council will announce the awards in January 2024. Grant information is available at www.catalystcouncil.org/grants.
