Application Requirements:
This scholarship, funded by the NDVMA Scholarship Fund, has been established to assist veterinary medicine students who meet the the criteria below. Financial need and an expressed interest in returning to North Dakota to practice veterinary medicine may be considered by the Fund's Advisory Committee at their discretion in order to prioritize applicants.
- Graduation from a North Dakota High School or resident of North Dakota for two years prior to application.
- Acceptance to or active enrollment in the professional school of any AVMA accredited College of Veterinary Medicine.
- Deadline Date: Application and all required documents received by June 1, 2025
Instructions for Completing Your Scholarship Application:
1. Fill in all questions on the application to the best of your knowledge.
2. Approximate financial figures will be accepted in the financial section of the application.
3. Current college transcripts are required to be uploaded with the application. If you are reapplying for a scholarship you only need to submit transcripts that are updates from your last scholarship submission.
4. An autobiography is required. If you are reapplying for a scholarship an updated autobiography from your last one is required. Be sure to tell us about your experiences, goals, priorities etc. since attending veterinary school.
4. If this is your first time applying for the NDVMA scholarship, you must provide several additional items that are specified in the educational section of the application including:
- Verification of graduation from a ND High School or resident of ND for 2 years prior to the application. (there is a location in the online application for you to upload this information)
- Acceptance letter to or active enrollment in the Professional School of an AVMA Accredited College of Veterinary Medicine (there is a location in the online application for you to upload this information).
- Three professional references. You must include at least one instructor/faculty member and at least one veterinarian. Family members or friends are not acceptable references. References or letters of recommendation can be uploaded in the educational section of the application or you can have the individual providing the reference send it directly to execdir@ndvma.com or fax to 701-751-4451 by June 1, 2025. Please provide this reference form to the individuals providing references for you. Download Reference Form to provide to those completing a reference for you.
